Donavan Bennett-Smith
Donavan has spent the last twelve years working with precious metals and gemstones, beginning his career as a bench jeweler in Seattle before relocating to Alaska in 2015. He trained under a third-generation goldsmith and holds a Graduate Gemologist certification from the GIA. His work centers on hand-fabrication and custom setting, with a particular focus on heirloom restoration and bespoke engagement commissions.
Donavan sources exclusively from conflict-free suppliers and is passionate about transparency across the supply chain — from mine to hand to wrist. He is a member of the American Gem Society.
When not in the studio, Donavan is an avid outdoorsman and advocate for responsible mining practices in Alaska.
Zachary Maheux
Zachary brings fourteen years of experience in fine jewelry design and production, having trained at the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco before establishing his own atelier in Anchorage in 2018. His expertise spans CAD design, 3D rendering, and traditional hand-sketching — allowing him to bridge client vision with technical precision.
He specializes in contemporary settings and custom stone cutting, and has worked with clients across North America on one-of-a-kind commissions. Zachary's design philosophy prioritizes proportion, negative space, and the inherent beauty of materials.
He holds certifications in CAD jewelry design and ethical gemstone sourcing, and regularly mentors emerging jewelers in Alaska's craft community.
